First round Monday action on the hard courts of the Costa Rica Country Club will include 21 of 32 matches split between the boys and girls draws, each of 32 players. The rest of the first round will be programmed for Tuesday along with the first round of doubles play. Both Main Draws are headed by players from USA, no. 58 Nikita FILIN for the boys (who returns from 2023) and no. 63 Kaitlyn ROLLS for the girls. Both draws are loaded with tennis talent and great matches can be expected from Day 1 on both sides.

In the Boys Draw the 8 seeds are ranked between 58 and 94, with the highest Direct Acceptance into the draw at 152. Six countries are represented in the 8 seeds: USA Colombia, Spain, El Salvador, Canada, and Portugal. The point spread among these seeds is only 36 places. The best WTN ratings in the Draw are top seed FILIN at 10.5 and fifth seed Connor CHURCH of Canada at 11.0. A first round match to watch is unseeded Jack KENNEDY of USA rated 12.0 against no. 2 seed Miguel TOBON  of Colombia at 12.2. Outside of the top 8 there are very strong players as well with 16 players overall rated below 13.0.

The Girls Draw features a ranking from 63 to 116 for the 8 seeds, a spread of 53 places. As mentioned previously, the Girls Draw is younger than the Boys with most players born in 2007 and later while most boys are from 2006. And so WTN ratings for girls are higher overall. Only 2 players are below 13.0. A first round match to watch is the no. 5 seed Jeline VANDROMME of Belgium who has the best WTN rating of 12.1 against unseeded Mia POHANKOVA of Slovakia ranked 105 and with WTN of 13.1.
